A service business sells an action or
labor instead of a physical product.
This includes:
- Contractors/building services
- Residential, personal or consumer
services
- Repair services
- Exterminators
- Taxes
- Event planning
- Moving
- Plus many more.
This is not : A
professional service in which the work is performed by
someone who has prolonged and specialized training (and
usually third party credentials) (e.g. doctor, lawyer)
to help the customers with a situation that they cannot
solve themselves and where there are potential serious
consequences if done wrong. ( See
professional services.)

Your customers want you to do something
for them that they either do not know how to do or do
not want to do themselves.

Your website needs to portray you as an
expert with a reputable business who is capable of
getting the job done right.

Your website should convince your
customer that you are the best person to do the job and
provide examples of your past successes/work. You also
need to provide ways for your customers to communicate
with you or to receive more information.

Once your basic site is completed you
can add advanced features like auto-responders to your
site to automatically send out Free Reports about your
service to any visitor wanting them.
